Synopsis
Sloan got left at the alter, left with two honeymoon tickets she decides just maybe she can get a refund on one them. When the airline tells her she can't get her refund, the perfect stranger is there to take the ticket and enjoy a nice vacation with her.
Logan and Sloan have been taking a yearly trip together since that fateful day 5 years ago. They become the best of friends, texting each other every day, chatting on the phone whenever they can, and only being able to see each other on vacation.
This vacation, this ones different than the rest. Sloan has given up dating since her awful wedding, but now she might be thinking a little differently after seeing Logan. Logan has had a crush on Sloan since their first vacation together, and this one, this is where he is going to finally admit his feeling. Possibly even tell her what he actually does for work.
Can Sloan and Logan work their relationship out, or does only knowing each others vacation persona a recipe for disaster in the real world.
Review
I am conflicted on how much I actually like this book. I have my like and dislikes with this one.
The Likes
I really enjoyed the emotional aspect of this book. I did not have to wait too long for the couple to jump into their relationship. We see some back and forth with their own thoughts holding them back from jumping in, but its not for long.
I also really like the way Soloan is written. Her thoughts and hesitations are all reasonable since what she went through. Even her "irrational hour" makes sense, I don't know about you, but I to get those un-rational thoughts in the middle on the night.
The book is well written, and enjoyable. This a perfect read if your in the mood for a hear-felt relationship. This book covers all the checkmarks for a perfect summer read.
The dislikes
Now there isn't many dislikes with this one, in fact there is only on reason that has me conflicted.
The heated kisses and talk of wanting more. I personally like my books with a good kiss or two, but nothing about wanting to do more.
*Spoiler*
Logan and Sloan share a bed for this vacation. This never leads to more than kissing, but Logan talks about how he would wants to take it a bit further and has to stop himself. He mentions this again when she has invited him into the hot tub with her.
*End of Spoiler *
There is mentions of wanting to do more and the kisses feel a little too heated for me. I will leave it up to you the reader to decide to read this one or not.
