This is perfect Evie gets to show off that she has moved on with someone way better the only problem, she's secretly been in love with him since he left her at 16. Well, she doesn't get to decide cause he is at her, door ready and willing to be of assistance.

When one fake date turns into fake dating to help Frasier and Evie's careers, emotions get harder to hide. Especially since Frasier keeps flying back from his games to be with Evie, continuously supporting her, and bringing her favorite flowers.

Can Evie trust Frasier, or will he leave her behind once again.

Review:

There is so much to love from this book.

First and foremost the writing is great. We don't get lost in useless details, but we still get the image set in our minds. For being a debut book it is easy to want to hit a word mark and call it done, but she makes every word count. I personally think from here she is only going to get better.

Another thing to enjoy in this story is the characters being fully fleshed out. Evie has solid reason to not trust Frasier, I mean every guy she has dated has left by their one year anniversary. Frasier has secrets stoping him from fully putting himself on line with Evie, secrets that are not his own.

Their relationship is refreshing because though this story starts out with fake dating there is no confusion on where either of them stand. They both understand no games will be played, they want to try for something real.

Okay, now the gooey part of this book; he will stand by her side in all things. Frasier fully supports her in her career, but also pushes her for her best. I mean he watches every episode of her news segments even when her viewership is dipping. He also flies out every chance he gets to just talk with her, he just wants to be in her presence. He definitely makes it on to the list of best book boyfriends.

A topic I am not well versed in that this book does talk about is a child with down syndrome. I can not say if this was written in the correct way. I will say, I enjoyed that the characters understood the difficulty of the situation, but did not stop them for loving him. I will leave it to your discretion on this topic and how the author handles it.

Overall I give this book a high rating for handling fake dating properly, and make the characters feel mature and fleshed out. I can't wait to read Ash Kelly's next book.
