Synopsis:

Lana has her life planned out, and everything has been going great. Now she is about to graduate, only has a few things left on her to-do list to get herself to the next step. What she didn’t plan on was Mateo. Mateo swoops her off her feet, and now she has a loving partner included in her list of supporters.

With deadlines, trying to spend time with her best friends, sorority sisters, and keeping up with the campus ministry group, her life is getting busy. What happens when a relationship is added into her perfect plan? Can she keep up with everything and Mateo? What if other opportunities are offered?

Review:

If you need a college romance, with a healthy relationship this is the book for you!

Likes:

I love Lana’s relatability. She is a college student learning to grow past the laid out plans she had. She is sure of everything she is, but as new things are added, things she didn’t account for, her plans are out of her hands. Anyone in their 20s knows that what is hoped for in the future at the start isn’t what they are going to get. Lana learns this, and we as readers get to grow through her line of thinking and pains with her.

Mateo, Mateo,Mateo! I love how respectful he is. Usually stories are both sides falling in love, but Mateo already wants to give it a shot with Lana. Why? Because of her personality! He has only the best to speak about her. He also is so supportive of her, and pushes her to be her best. He helps her find her joy!

Their relationship is Chef’s Kiss ! This is a one sided love, but only for a short period. They learn to love each other together. They take things slow, and put their whole heart into it. They don't struggle between other people, they are honest in their feelings, and do what they can to keep each other first. They also make sure their relationship with God is well maintained and involved in their relationship.

Dislikes:

I’ve been spoiled, I need Mateo’s point of view.

Memorable Quotes

"We walk a few paces and then Mateo pauses, turning slightly towards me. "Lana, would it be okay with you if I held your hand?"
"Maybe I shouldn't have asked you to dance, maybe that was to much for a first date, but between the sunset and the music and you looking so beautiful, I just couldn't help myself. And I don't regret it because that's an experience I won't stop thinking about for a long time. Maybe ever. I hope ever."
" I Can't help but imagine Mateo experiencing it with me someday. I'm starting to imagine everything with him."
